Hello, the few kind followers who even read this sort of thing!

I am not dead! Here's a bit of rambling on my part!

Haven't been drawing much. I find it's a lot harder to draw when I'm at home (too many distractions, I suppose). I do have some drawings PLANNED though. Ideas. Concepts. To-Do lists. etc. etc. etc.

There's a LOT of anime girls out there for me to do roughy sketchy drawy things for. I might even start doing Bionicle again. Those Barraki sure are cool looking. CREEPS FROM THE DEEP, YO.

I've been mostly gaming throughout the summer. Kirby Triple Deluxe is fun, if a bit unexpectedly challenging. Zelda A Link Between Worlds is an absolute joy to play. Also got Tomodachi Life for free thanks to the Best Buy promo thing. Was gonna get Zelda with it, but GODDAMMIT, IT DESERVES TO BE PAID FOR.

Also been playing Tales of Xillia 2 nonstop since it was released. Super fun. Kinda hard. Really funny. INCREDIBLY FUCKING SAD AND DEPRESSING. Darker story than what I'm used to in a Tales. Got the Collector's edition. 130 bones yo. That shit's steeeeeeeeeeeeep. Came with a figurine of the main dude, making it my first ever MALE figurine to sit upon by bishoujo shelf.

Also came with a nifty and large (width, not depth) artbook, a music selection CD, costume DLC, a small plush doll of your in-game pet, a Steelbook case for the game and the music CD, a standard PS3 case with reversible cover and A GLORIOUS 50 PAGE, FULL-COLOR, FULLY ENGLISH, INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. TEARS WHERE SHED.

Finally it came with a replica Pocket watch based on the one in the game. Not real though. It's a compact mirror designed to look like the pocket watch. You may say it's a bit girly to have a compact with you, but I can't really think of a good reason to not have a portable mirror.

Bought a bunch of LEGO because I had "THE ITCH". Haven't built an X-Wing in a long ass time. Felt good. Also got some Hero Factory stuff. "Invasion from Below" is actually a pretty neat theme. I dig the Hero minifigs. Currently have 5 of them. They kinda look like a Sentai/Ranger team when lined up. Missing Breez (green), Nex (orange), Bulk (Silver) and Stringer (Black).

I've been sick for the past month. I'm still sick technically but I've gotten a lot better. Still have this persistent cough.

THAT KORRA SEASON 3. Pretty good season. Tons of KorrAsami. Less Mako, more Bolin, which is always a good thing. Wished the bad guys were better developed though. DAT ENDING.

Also been watching New Sailor Moon anime. I ignore most of the fangirls/boys bashing the hell out of it for not being like the original anime, and have come to kind of enjoy it a bit. The "new" artstyle may throw many people off but I rather like it. Fun Fact: In the original anime, Mars was my fav. In Crystal, OH GOD AMI WHY YOU SO CUTE. MERCURY WAIFU.

Gundam Build Fighters. Watched it. I LOVE IT. FAVORITE GUNDAM SERIES. 00 IS STILL BETTER. DON'T CARE. BUILD FIGHTERS. BEST THING EVER.

Gee I... Joe?

So I'm sick and bored at home. Not enough inspiration to draw anything, so what can I do? WATCH MOVIES.
THIS IS MY REVIEW OF THE 2 G.I. JOE. FILMS. Spoilers duh.

Rise of Cobra

Ya know what? I actually kind of liked this one. It's not great, but some characters were likeable enough that I could forgive most of the problems I had with the film. My main issue with the movie? Too much CG. Scratch that, actually. Too much OBVIOUS CG. That and shakey cam action. I don't dislike shakey cam, but sometimes it gets really hard to see what's going on, let alone who's actually fighting. It's not the best movie ever, but if you want a cheesy, shut off your brain, action movie, this film isn't that bad.

Let's talk characters. Duke, our protagonist, was a bit forgettable. His best bud Ripcord was a much more memorable character, if only because he's mildly humorous. I don't even remember the rest of the Joes' names outside of one in particular: Snake-eyes.

As far as Cobra goes, they were much more memorable. The Baroness was cool, but I felt she was less on the badass side, and more on the spunky side. Storm Shadow was cool too. Sure, everytime he and Snakeeyes would tussle it would be no contest (snake always wins), but their fights are fun to watch. Zartan was VERY underplayed but that's kind of his point, so I can forgive it. Destro is kinda genero evil rich man. The real showstealer though (aside from snake and storm) is Cobra. Actually, lemme be clear. I'm talking about the mad scientist. I love his mannerisms and overall cheerfulness at doing the most dastardly things. He's hilariously over the top in a good way. When he actually BECOMES Cobra Commander though... eh. I HATE his look as Commander. It's like some kinda freaky fish man on critical bypass.

I give it a solid 7/10

Retaliation

This one... sucked. It's like, "Hey, you know all the characters you liked from the first one? Let's not bring them back!" Duke is killed off, The Baroness subplot went nowhere, Ripcord and the rest of the joes from the first movie are missing, and Destro, whom they set up in the last film (shiny head and all) is scrapped! Oh but the new team has Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson so it must be awesome right? Right. Those two ARE awesome, but they don't save this movie. The only returning characters (I say characters, not actors) are Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Zartan, Duke (who's killed off), and Destro (who's ignored and forgotten).

The Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes action scenes are once again the highlight of the movie, along side Bruce Willis suiting up and kicking ass for freedom. I gotta say though, despite not being around that much, I LOVE COBRA COMMANDER'S NEW DESIGN. However, he lacks the charm he had as the mad doctor from the first film and barely does anything in this one. The main issue I have with this one: SHAKEY CAM UP THE A**, NO RETURNING HEROES.

I give it a 5/10

So I was checking the calendar on my computer, and accidentally clicked the years tab. Wound up in 2019.
*clicks back and does whatever I was gonna do*

Then I thought about it... what am I going to be doing in 2019?  I have no idea.
I'm sure by then, my friends will have all graduated with their degrees and moved on to better things, like careers and what not. Heck one of my friends may even be married by then.

And what about me? I have no plans for 2019, the future in general. No ultimate goal.
I don't even know how my family is going to be. Maybe I won't even be here. Maybe we'll have moved to Nevada or something. I don't know, and because I don't know, I'm afraid to make any long-term decisions. *sigh* In way it's kind of liberating, not having my life planned out, but it's still rather scary.

A Real Bummer

3 min read
So I found out that my family (myself included) might be moving in the near or far future. This time to Nevada. Entirely outside of the state I live and have lived in since birth. I know the job market where I live now is horrendous, and desperate times calls for desperate measures but it's still a real bummer you know? I've barely started living in my current house (3 years so far) and they're planning on moving again.

While moving may have it's benefits (where I live now is quite the dead zone), there's a ton of drawbacks that they're ignoring. Namely, my opinions don't matter. I'll have to transfer colleges again. First of all, transferring this much can't look good on a transcript. Second, it'll only add to my time in college since I'd have to retake certain nontransferable courses. My relatives and family friends already nag me to death about when I'm going to finish college. Well NOT ANYTIME SOON if we keep f*cking moving.

I'll have to make new friends too. Sure I love making new friends, but not at the cost of losing contact with my old ones. I'm already down a good 8 friends from the previous move, with facebook really being the only means of communication between us, and even then it's just non meaningful general remarks. I had just gotten used to life here, I had just gotten acquainted with new people, and haven't even had time to REALLY get to know them, and now I'm going to have to up and leave? I wish I could spend as much time with them as I did my high school friends.  I just started relating to these people and I'm going to have to be an entire state away from them, not to mention even further from my friends in the last city I lived in. An entire state away.

One more thing, nothing really life changing or drastic but it's mostly sentimental.
I realized this in the last move but... I'll never have it anymore: A childhood home

I'll never be able to say that this was the house I grew up in. Even if I go revisit my old homes, it won't be my home anymore. Someone else will be making new memories there and I can't ever show my future lover, my children, my children's children, where I grew up. This depresses me greatly.
